Enjoy Free Family Fun July 4 Weekend and All Summer Long

Towson, Md  (June 29, 2010) – Baltimore County Executive Jim Smith today encouraged County residents to find out about July 4 events and more than 200 free and nearly free events, attractions and activities this summer throughout Baltimore County.

The County’s tourism promotion, Free Family Fun, includes details on July 4 parades, fireworks displays, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra’s Star-Spangled Spectacular concerts at Oregon Ridge Park, and ideas for family activities for the holiday weekend and throughout the summer. Visitors can keep up-to-date on Free Family Fun events by becoming a Facebook fan of “Baltimore County Free Family Fun” or by visiting the calendar of events at www.visitbacomd.com. The event guide also can be found at Baltimore County libraries, parks, chambers of commerce, and the Baltimore County Visitor Center at 44 West Chesapeake Avenue in Towson.

“Summer is a great opportunity to take time with your family and friends and really enjoy Baltimore County’s beautiful parks, interesting attractions and festive events,” Smith said. “There are so many fun things to do right here close to home.”

In addition to the Free Family Fun activity guide, the home page of the County web site offers another resource for enjoying the July 4 holiday.
