Miami Beach Park

Miami Beach Park is nestled on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay and features a 300' sandy beach, a pavilion, grills, a bathhouse, a playground, and a nature trail. Open Friday through Monday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Oregon Ridge Beach

Located in the scenic thousand-acre Oregon Ridge Park, the beach area borders a spring-fed lake and offers both shallow and deep water for swimming. Amenities include a concession stand, bathhouse, pavilion, sand volleyball court, horseshoe pits, and a playground area. There is also a room to rent for small group gatherings. Open 7 days a week, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Rocky Point Beach and Park

Rocky Point Beach and Park is a 375-acre waterfront park located at the mouth of Back and Middle Rivers. Rocky Point Park boasts expansive views of the Chesapeake Bay, Hart-Miller Island, and Craighill Light. The park features a 300' beach, a 20' x 30' beach front tent, a large and small pavilion, seven shaded picnic groves, a fishing pier, two boat ramps, and a bathhouse with first aid station. The Baltimore County Sailing Center is also located at Rocky Point and lessons are offered for individuals or groups. Open 7 days a week, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Gunpowder Falls State Park, Hammerman Area

Gunpowder Falls State Park, Hammerman Area is located in Chase near the intersection of Eastern Avenue and Grace Quarters Road. The park offers 1,500 feet of beach and swimming area on the banks of the Gunpowder River, four picnic shelters, picnic tables and grills, playgrounds, a windsurfing beach, and a Leed Certified Beach Building that houses public showers, restrooms, and a concession area. Ultimate Watersports rents kayaks, wind surfboards and catamarans at the beach.

Weekends and Holidays April, May, September and October $3 per person; out-of-state residents $4 per person
Memorial Day-Labor Day $3 per person; out-of-state residents $4 per person

North Point State Park

North Point State Park is located on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay and is surrounded by beautiful and fascinating natural and historical resources. The Defenders Trail was used during the War of 1812 and passes through the park. North Point was also the site of the historical Bay Shore Amusement Park, a popular destination for summer visitors from 1906 until it closed in 1947. Visitors can see the original trolly shelter and fountain that have been restored. Come see how Mother Nature reclaimed the land where the amusement park once stood. The park has scenic views overlooking the water, a wading beach, a fishing pier, and hiking trails that lead you around the park and through protected wildlands.
