About Us

Baltimore County Executive Kevin KamenetzLocated in the heart of Maryland, Baltimore County is a vibrant, diverse community that truly offers something for everyone. Home to historic neighborhoods, 21,000 equine-related acres, over 200 miles of beautiful waterfront along the tributaries of the Chesapeake Bay, and four family-owned wineries along the Piedmont Trail, you will never run out of things to do in Baltimore County.

With so much to see and do, Baltimore County is truly a special place. A day can begin with shopping in one of our neighborhood downtowns and end with a beautiful dinner overlooking the waterfront or rolling hills of Hunt Valley.  Only a short drive from Baltimore City’s Inner Harbor, BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport, and just an hour’s drive from Washington, D.C., Baltimore County offers accommodations, activities, shopping, and dining to fit every taste and budget.

Be sure to visit Baltimore County and get a chance to experience the hospitality and sense of community that makes it so special. If you already live here, then enjoy something new! Whether it’s outdoor recreation, the arts, horse country, local wineries, or an historical reenactment – Baltimore County has so much to offer, and it’s just around the corner.
