Additional Information

Storyville is an interactive early literacy and learning center for children ages’ birth to five. Located in both the Rosedale and Woodlawn branches of the Baltimore County Public Library, Storyville is a child-sized village that includes developmentally appropriate books and activities. The villages mirror cities, homes, and workplaces.

Children learn to sort, classify, market, and sell play goods in the grocery store and mailroom. In the puppet theatre, children role-play, improvise dialogue, and put on a puppet show. There’s also a garden for exploring, a home living area for playing “house,” a construction zone encouraging spatial concepts, and of course a village library for reading and learning.
