Additional Information

All the World is a Stage: A Retrospective of Portraits by award-winning Maryland artist Sam Robinson, is on display in the South Hall of the Broadmead Community Center through April 28, 2023. Presented by the Broadmead Arts Council, the exhibition is open to the public.

Best known for his realistic sporting life and equine-related paintings, All the World is a Stage showcases another aspect of Sam Robinson’s work and features figures and portraits that capture specific moments of expressed feeling. “That feeling might not be obvious, it is more often a sense of presence I look for”, says Robinson. The exhibited works are painted in a looser more impressionistic style and offer viewers a different facet of Robinson’s work.

An opening reception and lecture by Bobby Donovan, advisor to the Broadmead Arts Council, will be held on January 13, 2023, at 7:00 pm.

Parking is available for visitors in front of the Broadmead Community Center, 13801 York Road, Cockeysville, MD 21030.  Guests are asked to check in at the reception desk upon arrival.
